Copenhagen, Denmark

Short but sweet - we made a quick stop in Copenhagen due to a layover from New York to Rome. We managed to make it to Nyhavn from the airport pretty easily to explore the city for a couple of hours. The 17th-century waterfront is incredibly picturesque adorned with colorful façades and wooden sailboats. A street performer provided the perfect soundtrack to our short visit while the strip of restaurants, cafes, and ice cream shops gave us endless options for lunch. We shared a chocolate-dipped waffle on a stick and an ice cream and off we were to Italy!
